Abstract: Objective: To design a mobile intelligent terminal-based system for the recycling and exchange of reusable dental instruments, which can effectively enhance work efficiency and the accuracy rate of instrument exchanges, reduce physical exertion of personnel, and ultimately improve the quality of medical services. Methods: The nursing team and software engineers, formed a research group to design and establish a mobile intelligent management based on oral reusable instrument recycling exchange system. Collect feedback from medical staffs on the oral reusable instrument recycling exchange system after use, and compare the difference in daily average time consumption and frequency of exchange errors between using traditional mode and mobile intelligent management system for oral reusable instrument recycling and distribution. Results: The results showed that the system significantly reduced the time required for instrument recycling and distribution, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001); comparing the frequency of exchange errors between traditional mode and mobile intelligent management system, it was found that the system had a statistically significant decrease in the frequency of instrument exchange errors during the instrument recycling and distribution process (P<0.001). A satisfaction survey was distributed to medical staffs, and the results showed that the satisfaction rate of applying the system to clinical work reached 93.62%. Conclusions: The oral reusable instrument recycling exchange system under the mobile intelligent management mode meets the daily instrument management needs and has certain advantages in reducing time consumption and error rates, improves the standardization and efficiency of instrument management, and optimizes the nursing quality. It has a high acceptance rate among clinical medical staffs and strong promotion.
