Abstract: Subgingival scaling and root planing (SRP), as the main non-surgical treatment method, is an effective way to control periodontal inflammation. This article will review the latest advancements in SRP techniques, including good application of ergonomics, minimally invasive non-surgical periodontal treatment, laser assisted subgingival scaling, use of periodontal endoscopy, subgingival sandblasting, etc.
