Abstract

Abstract: Dental fear is drawing increasing attention in dental care, and procedural sedation is now considered the standard sedation management for dental patients receiving diagnosis and treatment outside the operating room. It is essential to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care. This article briefly summarizes the research advances in methods and medications commonly used for procedural sedation in dentistry, with the aim to contribute to the implementation of procedural sedation in dental clinics.
