Abstract: Objective: This case reports the multi-discipline treatment of an elder patient. The disciplines involved in this case were restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics. Diagnosis and treatment: The patient had cross-bite, severe attrition of anterior teeth and loss of occlusal support of posterior teeth. He had loss of vertical dimension. The correct vertical dimension was determined, and the diagnostic casts were mounted based on this vertical dimension. Diagnostic wax-up was created to assess the restorability of the dentition on this vertical dimension. Clear acrylic prep-guide was made to guide tooth preparation. Silicone index was used to make temporary crowns. This was to make sure the final vertical dimension was consistent with the diagnostic vertical dimension. Temporary wire retained acrylic dentures were made. The patient wore the temporary dentures for two months to become accustomed to the temporary dentures. The final dentures were made to this vertical dimension. Results: The cross-bite was corrected, and the dentures were comfortable. Conclusion: Through the multi-discipline approach, the treatment results were good. Oral health of the patient was restored.
